Angel Ho, QAFP®, EPC
Founder, Best Care Financial Planning
Early Career
With roots in the financial world dating back to 1995, Angel began her career in banking and later advanced to major securities firms, where she was first involved in daily stock trading and participated in New Issues & IPOs. Subsequently, she partnered with senior portfolio managers, learning the importance of downside protection in portfolio management. She also mastered the foundational pillars of financial planning, Financial Management, Insurance and Risk Planning, Retirement Planning, Estate and Tax Planning.
From two to hundreds
After more than two decades of related experience, Angel founded Best Care Financial in 2016. Starting with just two clients, she has since grown her practice through referrals to serve hundreds of Canadians. Each financial planning case is tailored to each family’s needs and goals. Angel specializes in creating advanced strategies that not only support tax-smart retirement income but also facilitate the efficient transfer of wealth within families, minimizing taxes while increasing the overall net worth of her clients.
Elder Planning Counsellor (EPC)
Angel holds the Elder Planning Counsellor (EPC) designation also. This designation equips her to address the specific needs of mature Canadians and to educate young people to share their healthcare risk with the insurance companies in order to protect their retirement savings. The risk of getting critically ill is statistically high, and the survival rate is high as well, given advanced medical technology (BC Cancer Agency Statistics Online Dashboard), meaning any healthcare cost could be detrimental to one’s overall retirement savings. Early planning is, therefore, super crucial.
